What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comment and contact forms
When visitors leave comments or submit the contact form on the Website we collect the data shown in the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
We won’t use the data received through the contact form for marketing or sales purposes unless it is part of the demand.
Cookies
What is a cookie
As soon as you reached this Website, some cookies have been installed on your browser. If you don’t know what a cookie is, here is a short explanation.
A cookie is a simple block of text stored on your device by your browser. The websites that you are browsing are generating them and they can be shared between websites. Their first purpose is to improve the user experience on the Internet by allowing websites to save visitors’ settings and preferences. But it’s also used to track behaviours and activities to improve marketing automation and sales performances through targeted advertising.
Knowing that you’re free to configure your browser to refuse them. Your experience on this website won’t be impacted and these cookies will then be deleted from you browser as soon as you leave this website, no trace left.
What are we using cookies for
First of all, we are not using them for any advertising of any kind. It appears to us that this is far from our purpose when maintaining this website.
Then if you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Or if you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. But if you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Google Analytics and Hubspot may use other cookies for their services. These cookies may last for at most 24 months but most of them will expire in 12 months. The purpose of these services are more detailed in the following sections.
Finally we have installed the plugin WP DoNotTrack on this website to improve even further the behaviour of cookies. This plugin will follow the configuration of your browser and prevent any unwanted and unwilling cookie to be used if you refused them.
Embedded content from other websites
Parts of this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Currently there are two parts concerned by this section :
- The “Where we can meet” section in the footer which include an embedded from MeetUps.
- The “Chat” that can be found on all pages at the bottom right corner. This chat service is instrumented by Hubspot and its content comes from their application website.
Customer support service
We are also inciting our customers to use our Support service (found here) which is provided by Atlassian. This service is not a part of this website. Consequently this Privacy Policy doesn’t apply for this service. For more information on this particular service refer to the privacy policy and terms of Atlassian.
Analytics
All data received through the contact form, the comments, the chat or via cookies are susceptible to be used for analytics. In this aspect, we are using external services to gather and process the data after collecting them.
The services in question that we are using for this purpose are : Google Analytics and Hubspot.

- Hubspot for the chat and contact form.
- Akismet to protect the website from bots.
- Atlassian to follow up the customer support service.
